Caelteria, a world of two histories
Newest Update: A new area is under construction which will allow for the addition of the sprawling underground lands of the Dweimyrri, sole living heirs to the legacy of the ancient Mytehrians!
*Big news! We now have the ability to use plugins! This is a game-changer and means we are every-bit as capable as vanilla servers, but with mods!
A short story of our world.
TLDR? Story aside, Caelteria is a MODDED roleplay server encompassed in a massive world that has been worked on since Minecraft Beta 1.2 Our main purpose in having this server is to have an enjoyable and rich world for our community to roleplay and create their own adventure in. In Caelteria you can explore the world's rich history, establish your character and become powerful in a myriad of ways, and adventure to your heart's content! We also have many elements that would also categorize us as an rpg server. The world is filled with NPC's to talk to and learn more of the world from. Along with roleplay, we also offer quests which are given by those very same NPC's and can be easily managed by an in-game quest log and map system. To join our community, it is a simple process: head to the Caelteria Homepage, register (optional but highly suggested!), and then follow the simple steps to begin your adventure!
But wait? What is modded?
Simply put, modded means we have expanded upon the basic game experience with mods that are created by the many wonderful Minecraft fans out there for the purpose of adding new blocks, items, mobs, and features to the game. Since we ascribe to the high-fantasy model of roleplay, our server features themes from magic to alchemy to steampunk! We use many popular mods and we do our best to make the modded Minecraft experience as smooth as possible.

A short story of our world.

"Sit my child, and let me tell you a story of two worlds bound together as one... Long ago, when the world was young and the people few and the gods of those people were no more powerful than a gentle breeze, there existed a great barrier at the edge of existence of our world. This barrier had existed for all time, for not even the gods could recall it ever not having been there. This barrier was indestructable, and impassible to all manner of beings, mortal and immortal alike. But this barrier was more a mirror than anything, for across it appeared another world, the same as ours and yet different; but no living thing was ever to be seen on the other side of it. And so it went...
Then one day, not too many years ago, a great cataclysm was predicted to happen as it happens every century. Our wisest seers knew that every century a great rock fell from the heavens. Sometimes this rock was small, and sometimes this rock was powerful; powerful enough to make the ground tremble and empires crumble. This time, we knew it to be the latter and had withdrawn to the hills to avoid the great waves of water which might ensue after the impact. And so when the day came, we saw a great streak of fire in the sky which we knew to be the great rock. The moment came and then.... nothing. The fire in the sky disappeared and while some of our people rejoiced, our seers knew something was wrong. This feeling proved true as mere hours later a great howl, as if the world had been wounded, and a wave of ambiant mana washed over the land from the direction of the barrier. While most of our people felt nothing, those sensitive to magic fell to their knees in agony and nausea. To the north, the mages of the empire closest to the barrier realized the barrier had been broken, something not even their gods could do.
With this worry of what had broken the barrier coming this way, they beseeched their council of rulers and in turn the rulers of that empire pleaded with the other powerful nations of our world. A great force representing all of the peoples of our world united under one banner, the first time in all of our history, to stand at the northern shores and wait for what would come.
Only days later, did they finally find out what had caused the barrier to disappear. Great ships that glided through the sky, carrying people that were similar to us and yet different. It was at this moment that two worlds became one, and it was at this moment that we met the rest of the world. This was when our world became Caelteria...."
