⚔️ Unique Classes & Skills
Ethereal Skies features a unique class system with a variety of classes to choose from to suit your preferred playstyle. Cast deadly AOE spells as a Wizard, summon undead minions as Cultist, slice your enemies from the shadows as Rogue, shield yourself and allies as Knight, tear through monsters with a hail of arrows as Ranger, or heal your allies with the power of your ancestors as Shaman. You can freely test and play any and all classes without penalty, so experiment and pick your favorite! Skills on our server all feature custom visual effects and sound, ensuring that your time spent mowing down goblins is satisfying and enjoyable.
🌾 11+ Professions & Life Skills
Our server features many custom professions that can be utilized to gather materials, craft stronger equipment, or rake in those sweet sweet coins. Chop wood with Woodcutting, mine ore with Mining, dig up fossils with Excavation, gather plant material or cooking ingredients with Foraging, process materials with Refining, create powerful equipment with Crafting, create delicious dishes with Cooking, catch hundreds of unique fish with Fishing, grow fruits and vegetables with Farming, or research fossils with Archaeology. There really is something for everyone, and an insane amount of content to enjoy!
⚒️ Custom Crafting System
At the heart of our server is our custom crafting system. Using the professions mentioned above, you'll use all of the materials you gather on your adventures to forge new powerful equipment. The equipment you craft generates with a random rarity and statistic modifier spread, this means every piece of gear is 100% unique, and useful in different situations. Decide on how you want to build your statistics up, and roll equipment to suit what you're aiming for, or trade with other players to maximize your favorite statistics.
🗺️ Massive Adventure Worlds
Ethereal Skies features absolutely massive hand-built worlds to unlock and explore as you progress through your adventure. Fight goblins and avoid bears under the massive trees in The Golden Woods, explore the crumbling fortress in The Forest Ruins, exorcise ancient spirits among the sand dunes of the Shifting Sands, or slay demons in the massive structure we call The Underworld Fortress. Littered with awesome points of interest and loot/secrets to find, you'll never want to stop exploring.
🐉 Custom Monsters & Epic Boss Fights
Populating the worlds mentioned above are hundreds of custom monsters, all of which have unique custom models and powerful abilities unlike anything you've ever seen in vanilla Minecraft. From goblins to demons, you'll always be fighting something new with new attack mechanics to learn and try to exploit. Once you are ready for a challenge, you'll find World Bosses located at specific points of interest that spawn hourly. Gear up and take them down with your friends for that fat loot and class experience.
💸 Thriving, Balanced Economy
I know, you've probably seen servers say their economy is balanced just to find that everyone has $9,999,999,999,999 after 3 days of playing. It simply is not that way here. There is always something to spend those sweet, sweet coins on, and just as many ways to earn them. Sell valuable and rare loot for big profit, research fossils to get that green, build a farm to stack that dough. Pick your poison and you'll be able to buy what you need to keep on progressing towards whatever your goals are.
🏝️ Your Own Personal Island
After a long day out grinding monsters and adventuring, where better to rest your head than on your very own personal island. Your island is where you can store your items, tend to your farm, build your dream home, or utilize functional furniture to craft. You can co-op with friends freely as you choose, and you can manage precise permissions for every role yourself.
📚 Optional Lore
We know that some people just aren't into lore/storytelling and don't want it rammed down their throat. We make every effort to keep lore optional, so those who seek it out can learn more about the world, monsters and NPCs while those who don't like that sort of thing can continue slaying monsters without caring about the post apocalyptic world they are fighting in.
🥇 Weekly Leaderboards
For those that enjoy a bit of competition, the server features a unique weekly leaderboard system that ensures everyone has a shot at the top spots. Rather than track player's all-time statistics for the boards, we only track weekly gain. Hit and maintain a top 3 slot for the week and you'll earn rewards before the leaderboards reset every Sunday!
🕹️ Immersive, User-Friendly Menus
All of these awesome features listed above are all tied together via custom menus and GUIs. There's no confusing Minecraft item/chest based menus here either, all menus feature custom textures with text that make it clear what every button does. Through the Main Menu you can access pretty much every single thing you need to play on the server, meaning in reality you never have to run a single slash command.

Though Ethereal Skies is new, our community is not. We've all been playing together for a few years now on previous servers and are always looking for cool new people to join in on the fun.
⚙️ Involved & Responsive Development Team
Let's break the fourth wall for this section. Hi, I'm Six. Ethereal Skies is a solo passion project of mine. I've been running servers for years but have always sort of catered to the typical Minecraft player with your standard, run of the mill survival servers. This project is my way of finally doing what I love, instead of pandering to the survival scene I've instead decided to just go all in and create the type of server that I personally would enjoy playing on. I'm always talking to players in discord and on the server about features, balancing, and ideas. I take every bit of input extremely seriously and am not afraid to implement changes based purely on majority vote/opinion.
