yukatas come from cotton fabric, while kimonos are made from silk fabric. also, yukatas are mainly used during the summer.
also, you always wear socks with a kimono. you dont have to while wearing a yukata though. the only exception for this is if the socks have fun patterns on them.. sort of something that just screams; summer.
the juban is a collar used in kimonos. while wearing yukatas, you don't wear a juban underneath.
