"Oh! 'Tis a great delight to march and fight like a New York Volunteer!"
Having just spent an amazing time in New York City, I couldn't kick off my historic skins without doing a regiment from New York. The 3rd New York Light Infantry was an early regiment raised in 1775. At this time the Americans still didn't have unified uniform regulations, resulting in many different regiments with different colored uniforms, or none at all. The regiment served all the way into 1781, when it was merged with the 1st New York Regiment.
