After the events of the Friberg Drop* outside the city of Westwood, the residents of the nothern hemisphere were forced to live in underground shelters.They served a program called the Anti Nuke-nightmare Program, which implied that all of humanity is to be kept underground until a group of special trained soldiers has scavenged the overworld to see if it's still habitable. Deryck Wings is one of those soldiers.

*The Friberg Drop was an event in which the government dropped a Nuclear bomb upon the city of Westwood in hope to stop the zombie breakout which occured when a proffesor called Dr. Imrich released a newly developed neuro-medicine.
