Hello everybody! I would like to present to you...
[Berry Boxwood]
But seriously, what is so important about this little Bulb? What did he do that was so special? Well, he saved the entire Bulb Forest. And without him, we wouldn't have any plants! All thanks to good 'ol Berry Boxwood!
[Backstory]
Long ago in the Forest of the Bulbs, there was a mysterious fog that withered the plants and turned them into rot and fungi. The leader of the Bulb Clan, Berry Boxwood saw that this fog needed to be stopped. He sent dozens of troops to fight the fog but none returned. If anything, they made the fog stronger. He then realized he could not stop the fog.
Sadly, he could only regrow plants after the fog had killed them. He was getting weary and sick from using his powers so often. He knew he was going to wither soon(Bulb people usually only live to be about 3-5 years old and are about 2" high)so he started testing with the Bulb children. He couldn't seem to find the correct potion that would give the children special powers such as he had. So he started reading old legends the Bulb elders had written. They foretold of special beings that lived on the edge of the forest, Gardeners.
He read for days without ceasing, learning more of what they could do. He knew he needed to find them if he had any chance of destroying the fog. He gathered a traveling pack of Bulbs and he set off. They rode on mouseback and destroyed the fungi as they went, only stopping for water and snack breaks. After weeks of traveling, food supply was low and insanity was high. They all decided they would go home if they couldn't find the Gardeners in the next few days. Everyone except, Berry.
On the fourth day, the pack left Berry. He refused to turn back, as he cared for the forest too much to let it die. His food pack was empty, he was all out of hope, when he saw a light. It was candlelight shining through a window. He was filled with joy. He walked up to the humble house, basking in its glory. He tied his mouse to a rock and slid under the door.
As he walked into the living room, he stopped and looked around. He saw family photos sitting on the mantle of a beautiful fireplace. He knew the Gardeners must be sleeping so he looked for the bedrooms. He walked into the hallway and saw many doors leading to many different rooms. He entered the first room and saw a Gardener with long hair asleep in her bed. He climbed onto the bed and started to awake her. Surprisingly, she
spoke fluent english such as he!
He finally convinced her to take him to the Bulb village. She snuck outside, took a small bag of fertilizer, and hopped onto her bike. She gently grabbed Berry and they rode into the forest. He directed her to the village and they arrived about a half an hour later.
After Berry introduced her to the village, he then showed her where the fog was. She saw the fog and sprinkled fertilizer on it. It faded as well as the fungi and rot. He thanked her and said he would always be in debt to her. He did a cute little bow and tipped his hat as he bid her farewell.
He lived his next few months in the newly restored village, he started a family, all the normal stuff. He had kids, and they too inherited the powers to help regrow the forest!
