Budd-E is the first animatronic built by yellow guy to go rogue. He was designed as a taste tester for Fredmeyer's various food selections, but began aquiring the taste for children instead.

I was really surprised in that low-res Minigame when the Unsalted Circus Budd-E consumed all of the small dots that symbolized the souls of young children. It was a huge twist after the game made him out to be the one “friendly” automaton.

I don't know, did you really think he was that friendly when he took that extra large bite out of that lemon meringue pie, whilst taste testing? That was against his program! He was supposed to only take 3 mm bites out of whatever foods he was ordered to consume!
