ABOUT
Hellboy is the titular character of the franchise of the same name. The character has seen adaptations in movie, animation, and video game form but I decided to stick with his classic comic book appearance, so this skin appears very cartoony.
I've also gone with a new approach to skin-making where I take the skin into Aseprite so I can work on the palette a lot better. Turned out great!
The reference used for this was just the comic book sitting right next to me and also this really nice looking Hellboy action figure.
The character, and original story for that matter, were made by Mike Mignola.
I've also made a "B.P.R.D." t-shirt variant if you're a fan of the comics. He's seen wearing this in the "Hellboy and the B.P.R.D." series of comics.
