The Tale Of The Dark Mage, Corvex...

Legend has it a baby boy was born with a face even a mother could not love. The child was cast out onto the winderness the day he could walk. The lands of Minetopia are no place for a small child, but luckly he was taken in by a witch by the name of Arwen Le Rouge. It was there the young boy was named Corvex, and where the boy grew up. The witch passed on her powers on to the boy through a ritual only few people, yet alone witches knew about. This ritual was call 'Dyrkmajic' and involved many risks to the child and the witch. The ritual seemed to of worked, however this was about to change. When Corvex was around 16 he asked Arwen who his real parents where, and to the witches reget she told him of his mothers brutality of leaving him alone in the widerness. This change something in Corvex, the magic given to him as a gift now corrupted him, he grew large wings and his hands became glowing blue. Covex was consumed by his rage and sprinted out of the house he had grow up in and took of into the sky. 

There are many variations of the next events, some say Covex found his mother and unleashed his rage on her. Others say he found his mother already passed on, and demolished the whole cemetery she was buried in. All we know for sure is that players have been venturing into the swamps near to where the witch was surposed to of lived and have not returned... 

How To Defeat An Dark Mage

According to the legends, the only way to defeat an dark mage is to strike it with a golden blade. Also dark mages are known to form armor that helps them blend in with the local environment, so Corvex may be watching you right now waiting for the perfect moment to strike...
