This is Culex a boss from Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars.
Culex is assisted by four elemental crystals earth, fire, water and wind each having 2,000 hp,
Culex himself having 4,000 hp together they have over 12,000 hp which is even more than the games final boss.
The Dark knight of Vanda, sent on behalf of the Dark Mage to fight in the mushroom kingdom, however the kingdom was uninhabitable to him and his kind Culex is forced to return to Vanda without completing the Dark Mage's assignment. Before he leaves for his home dimension though, Culex wishes to battle the world's "strongest knight." so he remained in a dimensional rift sealed behind a door in Monstro town, until Mario and friends broke the doors seal using a shiny stone bought in Moleville and battled Culex.
