Thank you, Curiosity. I make custom skins as well, and shading... Well... It sucks. This made the process a lot faster, and in the end, I get the same effect if I were to just do it by hand! I put a diamond.

Tip: If you use pixlr it's super easy. just go into layer style (the one with the left/right arrows on it) and click the box that says normal and click overlay and voila! You can just shade it in 2-3 easy steps

Personally I use paint.net

But what you do is go into the program, open your skin file, then drag in the template and select add layer. Now make sure that the template is selected, go to layer > layer properties. Choose where it says normal and find overlay. Press ok and go to brightness & contrast. Fix the contrast to your liking, I go to 44.
