Believe it or not daydreaming is a symptom of anxiety disorder and depression. So chances are if you're an anxious person you spend most of your time in la la land, fantasizing about a very cool version of yourself doing extraordinary things.
is there such thing as getting « stuck » in daydreaming?
yes
Ost people daydream only for a minute or two but if you say dream and dont stop.. there is definitely something wron. Once in my class this kid called Max daydreamed A LOT, but one day he was looking outside the window daydreaming like always, the teacher sighed and walked up to him and banged the table, nothing happened. Max’s eyes started to kinda roll off position, it was super weird. The teacher slapped him, only to wake him up for daydreaming, nothing happened. They had to call A&E at the end, the doctors said he was « stuck in his imagination » but they did manage to wake him up.
If anyone has this disorder I would love to talk to you in the comments and help you, give you advice and make sure to make you happy and proud of who you are <3
