God I feel so bad for this man.
The desert kingdom Damcyan's wayward prince Edward preferred the simple life of a wandering bard to playing politics in his parents' castle. As he journeyed, strumming the strings of his beloved harp, he stopped to perform in the neighboring town of Kaipo. He met a woman, Anna, and the two quickly fell in love. Unfortunately for the humble bard, Anna's father was the legendary sage Tellah, who was protective to a fault and vehemently against their relationship. When Edward and Anna came to him asking that he bless their union, Tellah denied them.
Dissatisfied, Anna approached her lover with a request: steal her away from her home. Take her back with him to Damcyan, where they could be married regardless of her father's approval. Reluctant, but swayed by his love for her, Edward agreed. They eloped in the dead of night, to Tellah's dismay once he found his precious daughter missing. Future awkwardness was of little concern to this eager couple, as they made their way to a place where they could be happy together.
They couldn't have known how much this decision would cost them...

I completely forgot his cape and bracers. Added shading to the tunic, too. NOW he's done.
