Story thing...

I was 6 years old, and I will never forget the day I met my childhood hero.

It all started a few years ago, my family was moving to a new place and all I had was some clothes and my indispensable game system (gameboy advance). I noticed all the trees in the neighborhood seemed lifeless. The streets were quiet and the sound of the wind was the only that could be heard. We started to unpack, but it took as a few days to finish. Once everything was set, I went to my new room and placed my gameboy advance on a counter next to a big television. It got late pretty soon, so I went to bed. That's when it happened. The trees that looked 'lifeless' no seemed more alive than ever. The wind blew roughly at my window and the rustling noise could be heard with ease. After a few hours, the chaos still continued. It became darker and darker and all I could think of was the noise getting louder and louder. I shivered in my bed thinking if everything was going to be ok. "Zzz." "What was that noise?" I wondered to myself. "Zzz." There it was again... I slowly looked over around the room, but nothing seemed strange. "Zzz." I looked at the room again, and I spotted something very odd... It was my gameboy. It had formed into some sort of mini-robot with a gun arm, and it looked like it was guarding something. It marched at the same pace back and forth on the counter. I didn't scream or yell; I just stared at it... for countless hours. It was 1:00 am when it's power light started to glow a ton. It seemed as if it was like some sort of night light. After some time, I realized it may be guarding me, but of what? As if it had read my mind, the "gameboy advance robot" said in a weird robotic voice, "I am heere to pruteect yeu from aneething..."
Finally it was morning, and I looked over to where my gameboy was and it was back to normal. It wasn't in a robot form but just seemed like a plain old game system. "I probably dreamed it all!" I said to myself. My family kept organizing things in their new places throughout the day, and of course I helped them. Hours flew by like crazy and it was already late again. I went to bed not thinking of what had happened yesterday, and began to sleep joyfully. "Zzz." I was awakened by the noise. "What in the world!" I exclaimed, and there it was again. The gameboy robot kept marching back and forth once again. The rustling noise from the trees and wind grew louder and louder too. I was totally scared out of my mind from all that had happened. I finally took the guts to ask the robot more questions, but it's only answer was, "I am heere to pruteect yeu from aneething." Every night, it kept doing the same thing, but I felt more comfortable with it protecting me. I got used to the horrible noises from outside, and everything seemed the same.
One night, I heard a different noise from before. It sounded like footsteps. I was pretty sure my parents were asleep too. I glanced at the gameboy robot once again, and then opened the door from my room silently. As I rushed over to the footstep noise, my gameboy robot jumped down from the counter and started to follow me. Once I reached where the footsteps were coming from, I saw a person with carrying a bag and putting jewelry that we had in it. I immediately knew it was a burgler. Before I knew what to do, the gameboy robot quickly rushed over and gave the burglar a hit. I didn't think it was much as the tiny little toy didn't seem very powerful. I was shocked to see that a little punch from this toy knocked him unconscious. I can't remember clearly what happened next, but I know I woke up the next day on my bed sleepily. Since then, I have always felt safe with this little guy around. It has been protecting me for the past few years and I don't see any burglars sneaking into the house anymore... hehe!
