This is the U.S.'s failed attempt at Godzilla in the 1998 movie. For awhile, I didn't know what to think of it and I really didn't like it. But after Japan took the look and re-named it "Zilla" and had it put in the final wars movie, pitting it against the original king of monsters, it kind of grew on me.

I loved him as a kid. Watched the movie all the time. I loved anything Godzilla related as a kid though. Now, I've have a chance to watch it again without the rose colored glasses you get as a child and man did the movie suck. He changed sizes all the time in the movie.....

Still, it was a cool design.

Did you know that Legendary Pictures is rebooting the Godzilla series in 2012? They are designing him to be true to the Japanese King of Monsters. Hopefully, with some awesome CGI, and some awesome battle scenes (Godzilla X Mechagodzilla from the Kiryu series was an awesome movie for the fight scenes) Godzilla will be back to stay for a while.

I'm glad you liked the design :D

And yes, I have heard that rumor..its very true..and I almost cried when I found out, I honestly cannot wait til the trailer comes out. The movie is suppose to re-boot the franchise. And I've seen some concept art of what it may look like, and it looks scary as hell

Hope it works out because then they might bring out all the old movies on DVD. It is hard to find them, and I've really wanted to see the ones I've never seen. Love those old movies as a kid.
