Here's my entry for the week 1 of season 4 of the PBL ! Whooo ! I had fun designing this one !

As you can maybe see, this is a reimagined version of Galan, the Truth of the Ten Commandments from the manga/anime Seven Deadly Sins. Here, to fit with the nice palette I had to work with, he is wearing a golden armor.

For this round, I am against -Lunatique and MoonAstraea

Good luck to both of you !

Well, due to some PBL palette problems, I used the same base, but with another shade of white, and darkened the greens, so I would only use 4 colors from the right palette.

Hello Zibonzi

Nice work, unfortunately we've found a problem. You use a full white in the skin you've made. This problem is our fault, because I feel pretty confident you saw the palette image:

and thought the white in the middle of the given palette was a legal shade. It's not, which is written in the text about the palette, but we acknowledge this is very difficult to just spot from just seeing the palette. We want to help you if we can, because we like what you made. First off we thought what if you use the slightly off-white colour from the 4 extra shades, and redid the green bits. We haven't found a good way to replace any of the greens, so I am not sure it's even a good solution, but I'll send you a skin file where the pure white you used is replaced with the off-white from the right side grid.

This does mean you'd be using 5 colours from the right side grid though, so you need to cut one out for it to work. If nothing can work, we can probably find a way to accomodate, but we hope you can find a way to make it work. If you have any questions I'd love to answer them.

We all like your skin and therefore it's a shame that this happened (I am sorry we presented the palette in a confusing way, lesson learned). We hope you have the time and will to meet the challenge.

Best of luck!

Ooof, damn, I was NOT expecting this...😱 okay, I'll try to do something about it ! 😅

Question: if it wasn't a legal shade, WHY put it in the palette ?!

The question's simple answer is that it isn't in the palette: The reason it appears it is, is because the transparent colour in the middle of the given palette ring renders as the white background, meaning that the colour isn't actually there (which can be seen on the skin file), but if you look at just the overview, as is shown in the comment, it does appear there is a white. This is what I mean with our presentation being lousy.

Just to sum it up really quickly without getting wordy: The white colour is actually a transparent colour,. In making the image, we had to give it a background to show up on both light/dark mode on PMC, which is where the white comes from. I am sorry that this is confusing, lesson learned on our end.

🥺

😲 Wow...

Ha ha, a transparent ! I was sure it was white ! Well, anyways, I changed the skin so it would be okay with the rules. I don't think it had too much of a big impact on the final effect. What do you think ?

Yes! This appears to be in line with the rules, sorry for the confusion and the troubles. We'll do better next time. I don't think it's a big impact either, but it does of course have some impact. I am really sorry it was confusing in this way.
