It took me a week of non-stop grinding and spending 5+ hours on 5-4 to get him. He dropped from the pre-boss node. I didn't get any new toudans after a week or two after getting hotaru y

I also smithed him with an all-500 recipe with Kashuu as leader no ofuda

I'm telling you all of this because... well... just in case ^^ and because saniwas are rare here ;-;
