If you want colour complexity, this is the skin for you. The Ice Angel uses an absurd amount of colours, more than for my own good. It features a snowflake-inspired set of wings, a newly developed design for antlers. Ice on the skin and a novel snowflake 3x3 design two places on the skin. The colours are all cold with the exception of a few highlights and some translucent pixels on the hat layer being in green and yellow. This skin took a dumb amount of work to do and I am very very satisfied with the result, I hope you are too!
Things that made this skin complicated to do:
-Design elements are always key to get down and for these, two elements stand out as being particularly difficult:
-The wings: The wings were difficult in the sense that getting the congrats necessary to make the upper rim stand out is key to get the shaping I wanted in place. This puts a strain on the rest of the wings, as there's a set limit to how bright I can make them. Additionally, the snowflake inspired hexagonal design. (see image 1) was a wing design I had not attempted before. The idea of making the upper rim very bright was conceived looking at an older michiru skin, where the intention wasn't to make ice, but it had the right vibe for it. The way I went about these wings was to achieve the upper and lower radial spokes first and then focus on the inbetween element. I found that the feeling was best achieved if it the ice seemingly dripped a bit, thus making for the right wing. The left wing was made different as to make the spokes not too identical, therefore allowing for a more organic feeling.

-The antlers: The antlers were somewhat simple to achieve, with the design being reminiscent of the antlers on the fairy dance collab, again with Michiru. In making them, I focused on the two main spokes on the horns and gradually added more complexity and branches. Finally the highlights are placed to make the top edge sharp and otherwise to retain optimal curvature throughout the horns, again for the sake of keeping it organic and natural.
