Hey everybody! this is 2012commander here, and here's Joey Drew from Bendy and the Ink Machine (BATIM).
Joey Drew is the creator of Joey Drew Studios, a former cartoon-making studio that was established in Brooklyn in 1929. he co-founded the studio with the help of an animator named Henry Stein. they worked together for 1 year, in which they created The Bendy Show, which starred Bendy himself, Boris the Wolf, and Alice Angel. Henry drew and animated the characters, while Joey wrote and directed the episodes.
in 1930, Henry left after his work started overwhelming his life, which forced Joey to hire new animators in his place. the show continued to be a success, and eventually they started their own toy line, Heavenly Toys. later, they even commissioned Bertrum Piedmont, a world-famous amusement park architect, to build "Bendy Land", a large amusement park.
all of these projects, however, were very expensive. Joey Drew Studios was going bankrupt, and the popularity wasn't enough for them to thrive. Joey then came up with, through unknown means, the Ink Machine. this machine allows people to create living cartoons. this was supposed to boost their income, but unfortunately their business closed for unknown reasons.
30 years later, he invites Henry to the studio via letter, but he instead goes to Joey's apartment, where he tells Henry that he had chosen the good life, and Joey wasted his making a "crooked empire". he wants to fix it, though, and once again invites him over to the studio. Henry goes there, and the story begins.
