He swore as he took the impact from the arrow. Grimacing, he tore it out of his flesh, and used the liquid pouring out of the gash to scald the one who had wounded him. He spat out some blood. A concerned fellow warrior ran over to him and asked if he was alright. He dismissively said he was fine, but deep inside he knew this would be his last battle. He was glad, though, that he would go out fighting. The disease that gave him his power was just about to kill him in a few hours, and he'd rather go out by the blade then by his incurable condition.
