This crystal creature is something I spent a little time on to make an entry for the contest so it's not to the best I've made but still it's worth a shot
Ahem...

As it's name suggests this creature it's strength and crystaline limbs to break through stone to dig tunnels inwhich they inhabit and feast upon minerals to help further build their mass. Despite it resembling stone it actually has a layer of rough but malleable flesh similar to that of an Oliphant and it's crystals are actually closer to a form of semi-transparent bone which seems to vary in color based off of it's diet of minerals all attempts to communicate with it has resulted in a rather unpleasant roar and the interns studying it running away in terror. I think maybe we should try speaking to it with sign language
