Dirticus earthwormius
Native to the distant farlands of Minecraftia, the giant earthworm is a spectacle one can only believe through ones own eyes. Causing great damage to the lands beyond our inhabitable realm [pictured here] it seems to mainly live on the dirt and ores it consumes. Its size is theorised to have been a mutation caused by Redstone radiation, or REDiation as it has been coined.
The specimen however has recently been moved onto the endangered watch list, as the incoming 1.8 update threatens to extinguish its natural habitat once and for all. Should this species cross the border into the habitable realm, then it would spell doom for us all.
