Now my fourth Skin Fight skin - this time we striking out at DragonsDungeon and his third Dreamless Wanderer. This happens to be the only skin that DD nominated in his SF registration, going by the Team Dusk spreadsheet. I asked him about it last week and iirc he mentioned he included it cos no one would do it. So then I thought, "what if I made a worse version with no soul?"
This skin, surprisingly, took less than a day to complete (within 9 hours apparently, but not 9h total). Probably had to do with spending less time on reworking the palette or even the skin itself which I think helped immensely. Lucky me : )
DD's skins take inspiration from a specific song, I believe. Each of his successive attempts have tried to better encapsulate the mood, image, etc. This skin doesn't have much to do with DD's referent source - I've never even seen or heard it. This time it's... just a skin of a skin. Truly are we derivative.
I did listen to Manhattan Skyline a lot before/during/after making this skin, so I thought I'd reference it here.
I think I'll have about one more go at a SF skin. I'll be honest, I just don't vibe with the skins ;-;
