Authors forward: I don't consider myself good at art. Or building. My mother gives me praise on all I do, but thats what mothers are for, right? Anyhow, this is my first upload, and I should hope it has a good enough quality to warrant someone else's use of it. I will personally be using this(and the related skins in the series) for an RP server.

There will be an accompanied story to this series. This particular skin features her on her first moments of going ashore after a shipwreck. He clothes are soaked though, and her shoes kicked off in a desperate attempt to make it to land. She has nothing, and night is already upon her.

Character background: Marceline comes from a distant land where machine does the work of men. She grew up a bastard, and worked with her mother building monoliths of power generation ranging from humble solar power, to mighty nuclear engineering complexes for the nearby Providences. At the age of 17 she was struck by tragedy while swimming along the coast. Attacked by a unusually large shark for the waters, she lost her left leg from the knee down. An onlooker named Samuel jumped into the sea to killed the beast, quickly bringing her to shore saving her life for the first time. Following in the next six months, she was bedridden and slipped between illness and restless sleep. By the end, she was ready to die, and nearly did before Samuel returned for the first time with an offer: He would return her ability to walk and cure he illness if she would tell him the secret of quantum material symbioses. She readily agreed, and soon Samuel placed her under the knife and performed an unprecedented surgery, fusing her to a prosthetic made from quantum circuitry and symbiotic flesh. In a single effect, she regained both health and limb as promised. Soon after they became inseparable friends, sharing each others secrets and making new ones together. Then war ran though the continent, ultimately turning her into a hired sword and pulling him away. Though the war was short, lasting only 3 years, it was massively brutal and she only heard rumors of his whereabouts. She fought though as a mercenary for a time hoping to one day cross paths with him. By the wars end the once grand lands were barren and unlivable, so the victor gathered the people and sent themselves off in search of a new land. It was found, and inside of merely two years the Nation was reborn. Soon, though, war returned after the mysterious dissapearance of the King. Her blade in hand, she was hired by the kings court, and found Sam once again, this time as a Pronounced war hero and Heir to the throne. He gave her a title as a war tactician and they became close again. The war ended shortly and without great effect or cause, and peace was returned. Several years went on, and eventually Sam took the throne down and replaced it with a counsel of 17 members. He then proceeded to construct a massive ship to travel the globe.Completed in a unheard of time lasting only 3 months, he supplied it and requested Marceline to journey with him. After many refusals to board the ship, Samuel eventually proposed soon to Marceline. She chose then to face her fears of the water with him and they left the lands behind. The ship now has sunk in a freak storm and Marceline finds herself daring the waters she fears to make it to a island she can only barely see. She is 26 now, and finds herself with nothing. So the story begins, her tale of survival in an unknown land.
