A World War I veteran who used his scientific ingenuity to transform his body into a gaseous form, Kyle would shortly come to blows with New York's Sandman. Eventually, he'd find his way to Opal City's and his lifelong archnemesis, the first Starman. He'd continue to plague the Starman legacy, before the death of his son at Jack Knight's hands drove him mad. But thanks to a deal with the demon Neron, he returned as Opal's ultimate foe.
He is the MIST.
