Hi, I haven't touched skinning in 3 months, so I apologize for any rust. I wanted a really dark skin on my profile, so I took matters into my own hands and made this. Base colour for everything was black, so every colour is naturally dark for that reason. Definitely too dark for some monitors, as my laptop monitor frankly fails at rendering this perfectly, but I am content with where it is at and feel like this is the right addition to my gallery which has not had a proper dark skin in years.

I just watched some of your timelapses, and they're brilliant. I'll try to make one that has a similar pace as the ones you make! I think if I had a live-update 3d previewer would help the viewer a lot as well, so I'll see if I can set that up in obs. Because I notice it's super nice to watch when you're in the 3d previewer where as I always speed around on it...

Thank you! I actually tried to keep in mind that you wanted to see more of the process so I included some less fast sections. I think I will try to do one that's a bit more fleshed out. I don't know how people like luna and elvenjedi gets their skinmaking process to flow nicely in such a short time-frame. I did a 10x speed-up and still had over 10 minutes of footage that I didn't want to sift through, their videos feel well-paced in comparison. I'll figure it out for the next one, maybe I just need narration or something.

and i don"t mean to critique your skinning habits!!!!! but the 3d viewer is definitely the disconnect in your videos.

you're quite zoomed out so we really don't get to see any of the progress being made to the skin nor what you're doing in that moment
so I think the separate 3d viewer would be clutch/////// or you're able to zoom in more

I'll try to keep zoom in mind! I think it's always been key to me that a skin works organically far away, since that's where the advantage of using many colours really shines the brightest, which is the reason for the zoom, but I definitely see the disadvantage for the skin timelapse! I will look into the seperate 3D viewer and if I can't make that easily work, I'll just try to lock the zoom for myself for the 3D preview :D!

& yea— i guess that makes the most sense. i’ve always wondered how you get so many hues incorporated… & i never considered zooming out. i kinda always look as close as i can to verify if something is fluid

it's not a big deal that your videos are long!!!! personally... if I'm watching a timelapse of something I'm interested in-- I'll watch the whole thing through
because I'm mostly looking at the small little things that you do!!!! i thought it was interesting that you use the color triangle so well!!!!!

but yes watching the 3d version is easier on the eyes and less jarring... i cant believe there's people out there who only use the 3d!!!!!!!!
maybe try messaging elven or luna to see how they set things up!!!! you've got lots of respect around here I think they'd give u the time of day ;p
