Man has always sought true immortality, though nobody has ever yielded success.
Apollo, a child prodigy born into a royal bloodline was studying alchemy at the top educational institution in the world, comprised of vastly renowned professors from all over. The perfect human being perhaps, though Apollo grew tiresome, he found this to be incredibly tedious and whilst rummaging through his grandfather's old work one fateful evening, he stumbled upon an extremely decrepit notebook. As he turned the pages, his eyes began to shine brighter than they ever had before in his monotonous and contrived life. Pages upon pages of detailed notes about the theory of immortality. This is it, he thought, something he found truly interesting. Apollo took the notebook and began researching immortality, using the notes passed down as the basis. Years passed, tests upon tests were conducted and eventually, one of the rats which he had been experimenting on regrew its tail ever so slightly. Finally, he thought, he had made an incredible breakthrough. Half a decade later, Apollo fabricated mankind's first immortality elixir. With absolutely no intention of ever contributing this discovery to the future of science, Apollo kept this all to himself, and with one sip, he would change the fate of the universe.
Perhaps he had mixed some unknown product in there, but it was soon enough apparent that the elixir had some dreadful drawbacks, including loss of flesh, simply preserving the heart and soul, locked away in blue-stained bones. He began to break. He started to lose sight of any remaining morals left within him, leaving behind an empty vessel of a 'human'. Abandoning his humanity, and with newly found telekinetic powers residing within, he unleashed great terror and chaos upon Earth, striving to take control of all inferior life forms. Centuries began to pass as if they were nothing, and Apollo eventually lost his remaining piece of humanity - his own name. Dubbed the Neo Emperor, he stood atop the ever-changing world of humans and its bustling luminous cities, more alone than ever.
