Neta is the son of King Saturn. His name means "Seedling", because Saturn was the Roman God of Agriculture. The green crystals on his hands are traits of Saturnarians. They allow them to heal wounded. Saturnarians were the peaceful race of the solar system.

Back Story:

Neta was an escapee of the Great Planetary War. Saturn wrongly decided to ally Mars instead of Jupiter, a decision that ultimately cost them the war. As punishment for siding with Mars, Jupiter executed every last Saturnarian. That is, everyone except for Neta. Neta escaped captivity and took an escape ship disguised as loose debris floating in Saturn's rings. He spent the next millions of years traveling to a new planet that hadn't been destroyed by the war. Although Saturnarians could breathe in outer space, the strange atmosphere left Neta's face slightly blotchy.
Finally, one day he spied Earth out on the horizon. Excited to explore this new planet, he put the ship in full gear. This mistake nearly cost him his life. The asteroid-like ship traveled towards the earth at the speed of light. Suddenly, as he began to reach Earth, the ship sped up with Earth's gravitational pull. Neta's ship slammed into the Earth and decimated everything in the vicinity. The impact seemed to tear the land apart.
Disgruntled, Neta emerged from the debris to find a black wasteland. His medic instincts kicked in almost immediately. He dashed around to find anything moving. Unfortunately, most of the larger creatures had already died, but many of the small ones seemed to cling on for dear life. Neta just touched them and they sprang back to life. He traveled across the land, healing any poor creature that was still alive. He healed the plants and trees until the land was lush with vegetation. After about a thousand years, he finally retired to a small cave he made his home. It is said he awaits the next disaster to strike so as to help the Earth and all of it's creatures.
