I've literly had this idea since I saw this option for the new contest, unfortunately MAJ_Confusion beat me to it.
I guess it was not the most original choice anyway :P

The '8-bit' version is nice, but it isn't 8-bit. Normal skins don't come from a 16-bit world, either.

If a normal skin is used in the normal Minecraft world, where everything is 16-bit, wouldn't this be 8-bit? 
Or do I simply not understand the Bit rules? :p

I guess the game itself isn't really 16 bit, but the textures are is what I meant to say.

The textures aren't 16-bit, they are 16x16. There is a difference.
This is one of my biggest pet peeves :)

They're 32-bit, and changing the resolution doesn't change the 'bit'.

Anyway, it said in the rules that you can't have Paint as one of the members chosen.
