So when I was wayyyy younger (when Ponyo first came out in the US I was nearly 7 years old!), I saw Ponyo pop up in my recommended for Netflix. I'd never seen that art style before so I clicked on it and watched. I instantly fell in love with the characters and the story. And it is because of Ponyo that I realized my love for Japanese animation. Years later, I still love to come back to watch Ponyo and relive that childlike wonder I first experienced with it. So yeah. That's the reason I chose this character for my entry. ^-^
