This is a character you unlock in Risk of Rain by finding a secret area on the Magma Barracks level. You have to defeat a boss to grant his safety.

The miner is pure melee, and uses his tools to dash through his enemies, piercing them with drills and various other excavation tools. After his escape from the planet, he now comes to the world of Minecraft, where he's now in his element more so then ever.
