The Blademaster is the artisan of the sword and the most skillful, well-trained and versatile man of technique and ability. Though a Blademaster has immense proficiency in all types of bladed weaponry, he generally will have chosen a single weapon of either superior craftsmanship or sentimental value. For instance, an ancestral sword or a katana of a particular smith. He fights mainly with this weapon, and is extremely deadly with it.
Blademasters do not find any use for heavy armor, nor even light leather. He will rely entirely on his ability to defend himself with his weapon and agility, which allows him to easily dance right behind an opponent and strike from behind, or even attack by quickly climbing up a tree and pouncing from above.
