Character Backstory

War runs through her veins. Rune Sybokra descends from a dynasty of warriors and crusaders, engaged in past and present in a battle against evil. Rune is an aasimar. What does it mean? It is a being touched by plans. The blood of a planetary, legendary guardian warrior of angelic race flows into her family tree. It is his father's father, Yran Sybokra. The brave hero served in the second crusade. The legacy is reflected in the young woman's saffire eyes.

Rune was born in Kenabres, theater of the crusades and fulcrum of the Nordic history of the Inner Sea. She inherited a passion for battle from his father; she loves the sound of the blades that clash against each other and the feeling of ardor which accompanies the battle. Since childhood she used to wear armor of any material, proudly taking on the wooden weapon, simulating duels against her two older brothers.

The father has always treated Rune like other male children, while showing her the respect due to a woman. The mother, on the other hand, is constantly apprehensive towards her, to a greater extent than her male children; however, she supports her daughter in the path of life she has taken. The girl loves both parents, but has a deeper bond with her father, whom she looks at as a model to reach. Instead, she is very protective of her mother, considering her weak compared to other members of her family: Rune cares for her well-being and is committed to keeping her safe. If the mother, or another family member, were in trouble, she would rush without hesitation; also abandoning duty if necessary.

From her mother Briandin instead, Rune inherits her unshakable faith in Iomedae, goddess of value, justice and honor. The woman's healing qualities have helped many peeled knees of children and neighborhood, as well as curing the sick; while her divine spells have always fascinated Rune, leaving her speechless. She always wondered where the magic capable of producing those effects came from.

Rune grew up according to the values ​​instilled by her dear parents; she has thus become a bold young woman in battle, who can not stand the harassment of the weak. When she gives her word, she also makes sure to keep it at all costs. Driven by her profound goodness, she commits herself to helping others. Furthermore, her marked sense of justice leads her to become relentless in the face of criminal actions. If there is a factor capable of unleashing her anger, it is the sight of an innocent helpless man tyrannized or threatened by another person.

Rune's request for enrollment in the city guard, as soon as she came of age, was therefore discounted. Nobody among friends and relatives marveled at this choice. Already the older brothers, Ergen and Akren, preceded her, five years earlier.

Now she has been serving in the body for a year and is considered quite satisfied with her life. However, she feels the urge to deepen the knowledge of divine magic practiced by the mother; so he often started to go to the library to borrow books on the subject. In her heart, she hopes one day to make her parents and siblings proud, becoming a valuable fighter and a capable enchantress.

Currently Adron Sybokra, father of Rune, holds a prominent position in New Kenabres, where he lives together with his wife and daughter.

The older brother Ergen is a bachelor; resides and operates as commander in the nearby city of Nerosyan.

Akren, the middle brother, serves in Undarin's army instead. He loves girls, so it is easy to find him in their company during free moments, at the local inn.
