If this is supposed to be G1 Shockwave then you missed the arm cannon

It never says he was their military general, just a high-ranking Decepticon (one of the first to join Megs) and that he's the Head of Cybertron Guard. (this is from TFWiki)

But for real, I don't need to know Gundam 'cause I ain't a fan of it. (and the only Gundam model kit I have has a broken ball joint so the arm can't attach and a leg that won't stay on)
