Just a skin I made, then had a few thoughts as I made it.
Skinning (and why we do it)
I believe that I speak for most skinners when I say that we don't skin for views or XP. Sure, we all love it when someone leaves a favorite, or a nice comment, but that's not why we skin.
We skin because we love what we do, and it's a way to get our talent out there. Just because you might not get Pop Reel, or get 1,000 views doesn't mean that you're not good - every skinner will get better in time. No one starts out being amazing, because we all have to start at the beginning.
My very first skin was made on the brother's iPod, and let me tell you, it was the WORST skin I have ever seen. There was no shading, and all of the face proportions were way off. But I sill used it, and I loved that skin because I had made it myself. I know I've come a long way since then, but I know I'm not the best skinner out there.

As many of you might already have noticed, I have a lot of repeating themes in my skins. I use them, because they reflect a little bit of me into my skins.
I use blond hair a lot, because I have blondish hair in real life.
The knee-high converse that I put into many of my skins are because I also have a pair, and they're my favorite shoes.
You might see lots of rolled up sleeves - I have a habit of doing that, and I've ruined more than one long-sleeved shirt because of it! :P
The green eyeso ¦ well I've always wished that I had green eyes, but everyone in my family has brown, except for my brother. (Lucky)
Now that you know what's really behind my skins, I hope in the future that people understand, and don't mind my slight repeating themes.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you all feel the same. :D

in front of your friends just because you made a skin to them.
My first skin wasn't that bad..
On a random note, recently I was given shading advice by someone who either didn't shade their skins, or didn't shade them well. The only good skins on their profile were a few that I recognized from several people that I'm subscribed to. Got a little bit of a laugh out of that.
But hey, life goes on, and we keep skinning! :D
