Here's my entry for Zitzabis's Lovecraft v2 Jam!

I decided to go with a more modern interpretation of the theme, starting by looking at the popular characters inspired by Lovecraft's writings, which usually revolve around horrific beings from other dimensions. The most famous probably being Pennywise, The Dancing Clown. He's known primarily as a shapeshifting clown who eats children, but the monster itself is far from just a shapeshifter. IT is described in the books as being incomprehensible to human eyes, the closest thing we're about to interpret as, is three glowing lights, referred to as The Dead Lights.

I was inspired by Pennywise in IT Part 1 where his face undoes itself to reveal layers and layers of death, and at the bottom of its throat, we can see those Dead Lights. From there I had a lot of ideas on what else to add, since Pennywise takes on so many forms, and I settled on Spider legs he transforms his arms into which he uses as weapons, referencing another one of his more natural states: a giant alien spider. With that element, I was able to include all main three of his forms, known from both the books and movies.

I also want to give a shout out to DragonsDungeon, who helped a lot with the spider leg arms! I hope you guys like it.
