It was a fine day
A picnic in the forest was great
I stumbled upon a peculiar looking shrub
Taller than a man
but thin as a twig
covered in flourishing flowers
stained with red

I brought it home
But over the days it started growing
A Mask formed over what was a blooming plant
visible scratch marks on its roots

Each day when I came home from work it grew bigger...
and wet with stained red liquid

Then on that day I decided to rid of it
but...
It came back
with a knife in its hand
dripping with fresh red liquid
or maybe BLOOD

I dashed down my stairwell running out of the house
I burned it down
though losing my home and items
I was glad to survive

a couple years later..In her new home

I opened the door
it was there
..but h-how

the only evidence left behind was a few flowers and leaves
