He stays at the outer defenses of the Kingdom's territories. Each day he fends off bandits, beasts, and the occasional cultists from wandering into the realm of his King.
He occasionally wears a sectional plate that
covers his stomach from the front. So, yay!
Maybe the Frontier Soldier is feeling like the
fight is more serious then others, so he goes
to the fort's armoury and picks up a heavier
chestplate and pauldrons.

I really like the color choice and design for the tabard, although I'd problably stray away from the skirted length. Otherwise great skin.
