Spencer was an average kid until he strayed into the Spider Queen's nesting site, which was not far from his forest home. He mutated into a revolting spider-human and became dangerous and uncontrollable. His mother kicked him out and claimed he was dead, which caused Spencer to become moody and violent. After a while, a rich family built a house outside the forest, and Spencer had to look. The family had a daughter, who was named Mala. Spencer spied on Mala, and when she finally noticed him, she was not revolted, but curious. But Mala's mother found out about Spencer, and Spencer carried Mala away to the Spider Queen's nest. Later, Mala was turned into a cave spider-human mutant, which allowed her to stay with Spencer until the end of time.
