In the alternate-reality Amazon series The Man in the High Castle, the Axis powers won WW2 and set up their division of America into the Greater Nazi Reich shortly after their victory over the allies. The Wehrmacht, or the GNR's armed forces, had many divisions and specializations of soldiers. However, many of these soldiers were born from the generation after the Axis won, with no knowledge of the past America. At this point in the story, most young Americans joined the Wehrmacht or SS. Assigned mainly to the borders of the neutral zone, these soldiers would follow orders with the upmost obedience. Smaller squads would usually have a corporal to receive orders from. An officer usually carried a sidearm.
