Tsukuyomi, the Moon Divinity

Divinities and folklore played a major part during the feudal era, in Japan or anywhere else really.
I've always been fascinated by the Japanese genesis and the whole pantheon. It's always seemed kind of poetic to me.

Anyway, here's my representation of Tsukuyomi, the Moon god in Japanese
folklore. I haven't been using any reference picture, I wanted to imagine and design it entirely.
So here's what came out of it.

I chose light and kind of desaturated colours to match the etheral feeling of this being, that's also why it's not clearly a male or a female, in my opinion that's what a god should be, something else entirely.

The moon phases under the hat layer are a subtle addition that I didn't want to be too obvious, that's why they're hidden by the bigger ones and the clouds.
