IMPORTANT NOTICE!: The hands must be flipped vertically, or else it will turn out as in the 3D viewer (which is bad, by the way)

Lets hope this works. :p

Edit: Sorry for the image being cut-off, but it should still be readable.

Please check out my other tutorial too!

How do we make the shade palette? I can't seem to make a correct one, some shades are too dark, or too saturated. I tried raising and lowering the saturation to make different shades, but it didn't turn out. The base shade is H:28 S:34 V:100.

Hmm, you can make legs and arms in so many different ways. If you're having problems with them, look at other skins to see how they did them. :)

The hands may become worse, but can you make a version without the shadows on the "Under-arm"?
It would become easier then.

Well, since a lot of people became mad for me posting this small tutorial I can't imagine the shitstorm breaking out if I post one without the shading under the arms. :p Just fiddle around a little with the design, shouldn't be too hard.

True that, I can complete without what I said. But if I has some minor trouble with something, I'm sure that someone more has the same problem.

How come that they gone mad?
A good tutorial is awesome, I often tell people to look at your tutorials so that they can learn.
For this tutorial I learnt about how to make realistic hands instead of some weird shading.

Some people got mad because they felt this was too little of a tutorial/not very helpful for being featured in the popular reel for a few days. :l

And having the shadows under the arms is a part of my shading technique that I use for all of my skins, so I'm probably not going to release something that I don't work with myself.

umm guys which programme would you recommend for making skins?
Your image editor of choice, as long as it involves transparency.

If you have trouble trying to make out what is mapped on to where, I'd recommend using a template, MCSkinEdit, MCSkin3D, or the like.
MCSkinEdit.

I use paint.NET to make them, then SkinEdit to view them.

How come that you use Paint.net?

What makes it that good instead of using Skinedit all the time?
Not offensive meant at all. I'm just curious since you are pretty popular and that program in my eyes is pretty advanced.
I like paint.net because of the copy paste feature... that's mainly all. And some advanced settings to bring out things in the skin. Though I never used it on the crappy skins I've posted.
Skinedit
