The designer of Ultraman Nexus is Hiroshi Maruyama.

Junis is evolved from Anphans Nexus.
The word "Junis" is actually came from French "jeunesse" , which means "youth".




There are some pattern comes from its previous form.

Although two forms have the same height, Junis seems to be taller than Anphans.
That is because Anphans head is apparently "too big" for its body.

(△ is the head, █ and ▼ is the body)
Its shoulder armor has made Junis "looks like" it has a better proportion.

Another fun fact is, the armor/body is actually based on kamishimo which is from Japanese traditional culture.


In addition, the pattern design. The black lines which is extended from the side waist to the legs(knee) also makes the body proportion better and taller.

Fixing the ratio/proportion of the body was successfully decorated the design of junis and emphasizes "evolution".
Evolving from imperfection.


The blue energy core is quite critical for the design.
You may ask why the blue energy core was only added in junis forms only ?
Well, I don't know the exact reason. But for me, I think it is because Junis forms are very colorful.

And since the bow-like shape energy core is an important characteristic for Ultraman Nexus so it can not be removed.
However, if the creator decided not to added the blue energy core, the whole design would look messy as it has too many "red parts", unlike the other forms.

The design of this Ultraman is extremely creative and cultural. It literally stands out from the most of the Ultraman design.
