I based this on my own uniform ;)

The smocks were actually quite green.

ya, some of them were (my great-grandfather took a fallschirmjäger prisoner in WWII, and brought his weapons and uniform back home)

Also since you are in a historical reenacting group as a fallschrimjäger, I'd like to know about the uniform differences for the oberjägers and so on.

If you know where I can find a reference to the uniforms, that'd be excellent :D

All enlisted men basically looked alike, though the number of gulls on your collar changed. As a nco, you gained silver trim on your Feldbluse and started wearing gulls on your jump smock. Otherwise, its really hard to tell the difference between the various ranks of FJ - a lot of them would tuck in their rank insignia and many did not wear any ranks on their smocks at all, even higher ranking FJ could be hard to distinguish from their enlisted counterparts while in combat gear.
