np, i like how you used the red, it shouldn't really work but it does. maybe because it contrasts well with the other primary colours

I reckon so, it's such a dubious colour. The high saturation in the blue, particularly the darker tones, probably balances it out the most. For the hair I also found that having the more solid band/cluster of red on the spikes, rather than trying to anti-alias or integrate the red finely into it helped a lot.

The Minecraft version has too much red, orange, and yellow on the skin
