The staff watched in horror, stunned into inaction, before an attending screamed and fled the room and the surgeon tried to wrestle the dripping sausages away from her.
Nurse Dee fell from the operating table, dragging the innards and then the rest of the patient down on top of her. The surgeon heaved the body aside with the help of a nurse to find that Nurse Deeo s mask had come loose, and that in those few moments she had filled her mouth with a stream of bloody feculence from a hole torn into the patiento s intestine...
