How to install Minecraft Resource Packs

This resource pack adds the Glow Squid (and related items) from Minecraft 1.17 to 1.16, by retexturing the non-glowing counterparts:
  • Squid > Glow Squid (mob retextured and renamed, subtitles changed)
  • Ink Sac > Glow Ink Sac (item retextured and renamed)
  • Item Frame > Glowing Item Frame (entity retextured and renamed, item retextured and renamed)

If you are using OptiFine, these textures will glow.

Note I did not make these textures, they are from 1.17 snapshot 21w03a, and made by JAPPA.

hey, do you mind telling me how to make a .properties file? im trying to make a pack with emissive textures and cant seem to get it, thanks

for the emissive.properties, you can copy the one from this pack and then any textures with the file name as the vanilla one but with _emissive on the end will be emissive. You can find the docs page for optifine emissive textures here: github.com/sp614x/optifine/blob/master/OptiFineDoc/doc/emissive.properties
