I think I have some suggestions for the appearance for the missing tools. Wooden tools can have the medieval (if I can call it like that) theme that has aged a bit to look like they were worn out, while stone tools can be primitive tools put together by twine and perhaps other stuff that were used to create the tools.

went for a primitive look on both of them in the end
swords now more of a blunt object as i don't imagine betting hit in the head with them would be good :P
