You looked at the Moon and you thought: "why isn't it also a cube?"
Well, if it is your case, this Resource Pack is perfect for you! It recreates the Minecraft Moon and Sun in 3D!

new_releases Features

  • Cubic Moon texture with 8 phases

save_alt How to download (For Java)

  1. Click in "DOWNLOAD RESOURCE PACK".
  2. Download the Featured Version.
  3. Open Minecraft and go to Options > Resource Packs / Texture Packs > Open Pack Folder.
  4. Copy/Cut and Paste the file downloaded there.
  5. Active the Resource Pack.
Note: If it appear as Incompatible, don't worry, it should work between Alpha 1.2.2 and 1.20.4.

This resource pack supports all Minecraft versions, from Alpha 1.2.2 to 1.20.4. It also offers support for mods and snapshots that add sky features, such as planets and moons. For now, these features are still experimental.

Does it work with shaders?
Depends in the shader, if it changes the Sun and Moon texture it won't work. For example, it works with BSL Shaders and Complementary Shaders.

This pack isn't Curseforge and I'm not sure if I will put it there. I'm currently supporting Modrinth because it is a relatively new mod's site.

What is earth.png, earth_1.png, earth_a.png, and earth_prime.png for? Mod compatibility?

Also it would be amazing if you could make a lower res version (1024x / 512x) for computers with less performance.

Hi, those textures were added during the April Fools Update (23w13a_or_b) for the Moon dimension. About the resolution, it seems to doesn't impact the FPS or the GPU performance, but if it affects yours, then you could resize the textures for personal use.
