And for people asking for it to be updated, doesn't really need to, it's just HUD.
Unless a new major feature is released such as 1.12 bringing the Recipe Book which broke a lot of pre-existing HUDs, there is no need for an update.
this is what i used to teach myself how to make a texture pack. also some youtube videos, don't know the specific ones as it was years ago...
I used paint.net to make all of the changes and pixel art. it was mostly about trial and error for me.
